Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting functions. This full-time role is responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while supporting overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities for the organization
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate records of receipts and disbursements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Work with external accountants or auditors as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or related accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience performing full charge bookkeeping responsibilities.• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks in an accounting environment with strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Experience completing month-end close activities with accuracy and consistency.
• Background in construction or construction accounting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with construction applications software and financial tracking tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple accounting priorities independently.
Compensation
