Accounts Receivable Clerk

Compensation: $21.58 to $23.84 Hourly

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring customer accounts, and supporting the overall cash flow process. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of accounts receivable procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing
  • Post payments, reconcile accounts, and investigate payment discrepancies
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Communicate with customers regarding past-due accounts and payment arrangements
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activity and account status
  • Research and resolve billing issues, short payments, and unapplied cash
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports and assist with month-end close activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer account concerns
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with account reconciliation and cash applications
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Qualifications:

• Experience working in accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and collections responsibilities.
• Knowledge of foundational accounting practices and the ability to apply them accurately in daily work.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, detailed correspondence.
• Background handling commercial collections and following up on overdue accounts in an effective manner.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when posting payments and maintaining financial records.
• Ability to work onsite and manage a regular schedule during the contract period.

Compensation

$21.58-$23.84 Hourly
