Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist (Onsite – Norman, OK)

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 DOE

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Norman. This role is 100% onsite and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple entities, while also supporting benefits administration and general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple companies, including weekly payroll cycles for smaller entities
• Administer payroll systems, ensuring accuracy with wages, bonuses, and commission structures
• Manage employee benefits, including:
• COBRA administration
• Monthly benefit billing and invoice payments
• 401(k) uploads, audits, and reporting
• Open enrollment coordination
• Reconcile benefit billing and accounts receivable for subsidiary companies
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information
• Produce payroll and benefits-related reports for audits (Department of Labor, insurance, etc.)
• Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Provide onboarding support to new hires (payroll, benefits, leave policies)
• Assist with year-end payroll balancing, reporting, and compliance

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Payroll processing experience required (multi-entity preferred)
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and accounting principles
• Experience with Paycom, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office preferred
• Familiarity with Threadkore and Laserfiche is a plus
• High attention to detail with strong accuracy and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
