Dispatcher
We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily transportation and service coordination in New Orleans, Louisiana. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with customers and field teams, and can keep operations running smoothly through strong organization and follow-through. The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple requests at once, using dispatch systems and office software to track activity, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate incoming service or delivery requests and assign work based on schedule, location, and operational priorities.
• Communicate with drivers, technicians, or field personnel to provide updates, adjust routes, and address service changes throughout the day.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, providing timely information and attentive support regarding schedules and service status.
• Monitor dispatch activity in real time using computer-aided systems and internal tracking tools to maintain efficient workflow.
• Record call details, service updates, and operational notes accurately to support reporting and continuity across shifts.
• Work with internal teams to resolve delays, scheduling conflicts, and service concerns while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Outlook to organize dispatch information, manage communications, and support daily administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a call center environment.• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, attentive to detail, and solution-oriented under pressure.
• Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch systems or similar scheduling and tracking platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for documentation, communication, and task management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, drivers, and internal staff.
• Reliable organizational skills and sound judgment when adjusting schedules or responding to changing service needs.
Compensation
