Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll for approximately 1,200 employees, ensuring accurate pay calculations for both hourly and salaried staff.
• Review and validate employee timecards before each payroll cycle to maintain compliance and reduce processing errors.
• Administer payroll-related records, including employee setup, tax elections, and employee withholding updates.
• Manage wage garnishment entries and ongoing deductions in accordance with applicable requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain precise payroll data within the company’s onsite, in-house payroll process and support routine administrative activities tied to payroll execution.
• Partner with internal teams as needed to resolve payroll discrepancies while keeping payroll tasks on schedule.
• Prioritize core payroll processing activities and carry out assigned procedures with close attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Experience processing high-volume payroll in a multi-state environment.• Hands-on knowledge of payroll administration, including employee setup, tax configuration, and payroll deductions.
• Practical experience handling garnishments and maintaining related documentation.
• Ability to process weekly payroll accurately for both hourly and salaried employee groups.
• Familiarity with timecard review and payroll data validation practices.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage considerations is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, dependable follow-through, and the ability to work effectively within established guidelines.
Compensation
