Field Technician
Responsibilities:
• Install and support structured cabling infrastructure, including fiber, twisted pair, coaxial, and other low-voltage systems used across project sites.
• Set up and connect wireless access points, network switches, and related IP-based equipment to support site connectivity.
• Deploy access control components such as electrified door hardware, control panels, and associated field devices.
• Mount, wire, and configure analog and IP video surveillance equipment, including cameras, recording platforms, and supporting power systems.
• Build cable support pathways and complete cable termination, testing, labeling, and documentation for both backbone and horizontal runs.
• Work closely with lead technicians, project managers, and field personnel to complete installation activities according to project plans and specifications.
• Participate in commissioning, functional testing, and final system verification to help ensure proper operation before turnover.
• Maintain accurate daily records of completed work, hours, and site activity while also helping keep work areas organized and clean.
• Continue developing technical knowledge by learning new tools, methods, and system applications used in the field.
Qualifications:
• Must have Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, networking fundamentals, and low-voltage installation practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• At least one year of experience in installation, field service, or a closely related technical role.
• Current certification in at least one access control, CCTV, or similar security platform.
• Current certification in at least one structured cabling system.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation and apply them in the field.
• Must be able to pass required background screening and drug testing
Compensation
