Infrastructure Project Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct early-stage planning for VoIP and infrastructure deployments, ensuring technical scope, priorities, and project objectives are clearly defined before execution begins.
• Evaluate network environments to confirm readiness for voice services by reviewing bandwidth capacity, traffic quality, latency considerations, and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop solution designs for voice and telecom platforms, including hosted and on-premises configurations, aligned with client requirements and site conditions.
• Gather business and technical needs from stakeholders and convert them into structured project plans, deployment documentation, and field-ready instructions.
• Specify cabling, hardware, and network components required to support voice, data, and related low-voltage implementations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and installation teams to maintain alignment on schedules, risks, deliverables, and technical expectations.
• Produce network diagrams, build documentation, and standard procedures to guide consistent installation and support activities.
• Advise on network segmentation, IP addressing strategies, and voice traffic design to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance during rollout activities and assist in resolving issues that may affect implementation success.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in VoIP engineering, telecom consulting, unified communications, or infrastructure project delivery.• Strong understanding of voice technologies, IP networking concepts, routing, switching, VLAN design, and quality of service principles.
• Experience supporting or designing enterprise voice environments, including hosted or on-premises telephony solutions.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and network infrastructure within commercial or multi-site settings.
• Ability to create, review, and interpret technical diagrams, implementation documentation, and deployment plans.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, technical stakeholders, and field teams.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure, and network infrastructure projects is highly valued.
• Exposure to platforms and vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, 3CX, RingCentral, or Microsoft Teams Voice is preferred.
