Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Greenville, South Carolina, in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position offers the opportunity to support a broad range of accounting and corporate finance activities while working closely with multiple departments across the business. The role is fully on-site and is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting work with broader operational and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and intercompany)
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation as requested
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

Qualifications:

• Experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting support role with exposure to both transactional and general ledger responsibilities.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency with accounting ERP systems and Excel skils.

• Familiarity with corporate credit card reconciliation and expense tracking.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities across numerous entities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with accounting staff and cross-functional teams.

• Availability to work on-site five days per week in Greenville, South Carolina.
