Payroll Coordinator
We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for a pharmaceutical organization in Somerset County, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage complex payroll activities with accuracy, maintain compliance across multiple states, and contribute to a dependable employee pay process. The role calls for strong attention to detail, confidence working with high employee volumes, and hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll activities for a large employee population, ensuring timely and accurate pay delivery.
• Administer payroll for employees across multiple states while applying applicable wage, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to review payroll data, validate entries, and resolve discrepancies before final submission.
• Audit payroll records on a regular basis to confirm accuracy in earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Investigate and address payroll questions, exceptions, and payment issues in a thorough and timely manner.
• Partner with HR, finance, and other internal teams to maintain current employee data that supports accurate payroll processing.
• Support payroll reporting and documentation needs, including records required for compliance reviews and internal tracking.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing full cycle payroll from data review through final payroll completion.• Hands-on background processing multi-state payroll with strong knowledge of related compliance considerations.
• Practical experience using ADP Workforce Now in a payroll environment.
• Ability to manage payroll for an employee population of more than 500 workers.
• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.
Compensation
