Paralegal
We are looking for a Paralegal to support workers’ compensation matters for a client in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who communicates well, stays organized, and can manage a steady flow of case-related and administrative work. The position requires a practical approach to problem-solving and prior experience assisting with workers’ compensation files in a legal setting.
Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys and legal staff with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of workers’ compensation case files.
• Coordinate administrative activities such as document tracking, scheduling, correspondence, and file updates to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with clients, internal teams, and other parties while providing responsive and courteous support.
• Review case materials for completeness and accuracy, helping identify missing information and next steps.
• Assist with processing and follow-up related to organizational checks and other routine case support tasks.
• Help resolve day-to-day issues by gathering information, prioritizing requests, and contributing practical solutions.
• Maintain orderly records and ensure legal documents and supporting materials are accessible when needed.
Fluent Spanish Language Skills
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of paralegal experience in a legal or claims-focused environment. • Hands-on experience supporting workers’ compensation matters is required. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to handle administrative responsibilities with accuracy and consistency. • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in document and case management.The pay range for this position is $25 to $35. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
