User Experience (UX) Designer
We are seeking a UX Designer for a contract opportunity to support an existing body of work and help maintain continuity on a key digital product initiative.
What Project Will They Be Working On?
This role supports an ongoing digital application design initiative, focused on enhancing user experience, interface design, and usability across complex web-based products. The designer will help evolve and execute user-centered experiences for large-scale digital applications.
Team Structure
The UX Designer will work directly with the UX lead and broader UX team, with occasional collaboration across cross-functional partners, including business analysts and front-end engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate throughout the design process from concept through execution
- Design intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for web applications
- Communicate ideas through design tools, whiteboarding, sketching, and other visualization methods
- Develop navigation models, interaction patterns, components, and templates
- Produce UX deliverables such as process flows, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes
- Partner with UX and research teams to support usability testing, test planning, and iterative improvements
- Create visual assets and document detailed design specifications
- Ensure consistency with established UX standards and brand guidelines
- Build wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups
- Translate user research and usability findings into actionable design improvements
- Work closely with front-end engineers to support implementation
- Help ensure accessibility compliance and performance optimization
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
Required Tools / Technical Skills
- Figma required; candidates must be prepared to present files during the interview
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar design tools
Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of UX design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design work
- Experience designing large, complex digital applications
- Advanced wireframing and prototyping experience across web and mobile
- Ability to write detailed interaction and design specifications
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and user-centered design principles
- Experience working within brand guidelines and design systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-starter who can define scope and move work forward in ambiguous environments
Compensation
