Accounting Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Process payable information and assist with accurate entry of vendor invoices and related transactions.
• Record incoming payments, maintain receipt documentation, and support day-to-day cash activity tracking.
• Scan, organize, and file financial and lease documents to ensure records are complete and easy to retrieve.
• Prepare routine reports and assist with data review using property management software and spreadsheets.
• Provide backup support for lease administration by helping assemble lease packages and related paperwork.
• Review lease documents for formatting, completeness, and accuracy before final distribution.
• Assist with accounting tasks in Microsoft Excel, including maintaining schedules and reconciling supporting information.
• Support administrative office functions as needed to help leasing and accounting operations run smoothly.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting assistant, bookkeeping, or similar support role.• Working knowledge of accounts payable processing, cash receipts, and general financial recordkeeping.
• Experience performing reconciliations and handling receipt-related documentation, including credit card transactions.
• Ability to manage scanning, filing, and document organization with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with lease administration or lease accounting support in a property management or real estate environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic accounting tasks, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong proofreading and administrative skills with the ability to work accurately across multiple responsibilities.
Compensation
