Procurement Manager
Responsibilities:
• Create and carry out sourcing plans for metals and other production materials to support business demand and operational goals.
• Track commodity activity, market pricing, trade conditions, and supply trends to reduce exposure and uncover purchasing advantages.
• Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contract terms, and service agreements that improve value and protect the organization’s interests.
• Maintain productive partnerships with vendors and key supply partners to support continuity, quality, and long-term performance.
• Direct inventory planning efforts to balance material availability with effective control of working capital and stock levels.
• Manage cycle count activities and inventory review processes to improve accuracy, accountability, and audit readiness.
• Review consumption patterns, forecast inputs, and inventory movement data to support production needs and business planning.
• Partner with operations, production, planning, and finance teams to align purchasing decisions with company priorities.
• Establish procurement reporting, performance measurements, and key indicators to monitor results and drive accountability.
• Supervise, coach, and develop procurement and inventory team members while advancing process improvements and best practices.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in corporate procurement and end-to-end buying processes within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in negotiating contracts, supplier terms, and pricing agreements.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and procurement functions at a strategic level.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices, forecasting methods, and materials planning.
• Ability to analyze market conditions, cost drivers, and performance data to support sound business decisions.
• Proven leadership skills with experience guiding and developing procurement or inventory professionals.
