Intacct Implementation Consultant

Our Nashville-based client is seeking an experienced Accounting Systems Implementation Consultant to support a Sage Intacct implementation. This role will play a critical part in optimizing system configuration, improving reporting capabilities, and ensuring the accounting team is set up for long-term success.

This is a highly hands-on position designed for someone who understands both accounting operations and system functionality, and can bridge the gap between technical setup and practical financial reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine and optimize chart of accounts structure to align with reporting and business needs
• Configure and enhance Sage Intacct modules, dimensions, and workflows
• Build and maintain monthly financial reporting packages, including dashboards and custom reports
• Support post–go-live stabilization, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate system usage and data integrity
• Improve and document key processes across the general ledger, AP, AR, and close cycle
• Assist with report automation and development of KPI-driven insights
• Troubleshoot system issues and serve as a resource for end users
• Provide guidance on best practices for scalability and future-state system design

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to Accounting Manager-level responsibilities or higher
• Strong hands-on experience with Sage Intacct configuration and reporting
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading accounting system implementations or post-go-live optimization efforts
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls
• Experience designing chart of accounts structures and reporting hierarchies
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
• Ability to translate accounting requirements into system functionality
• CPA not required but welcomed
