Command and Control (C2) – Information Management (IM) Specialist
The Command and Control (C2) – Information Management (IM) Specialist reports to and receives work direction derivatives from MSTP Project Manager and C2 SysAd Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, integrate, and maintain DoD Command and Control (C2) systems across maneuver, intelligence, aviation, fires/targeting, and logistics to support planning, execution, and monitoring during MSTP exercises and events.
Operate, troubleshoot, and sustain C2 systems and networks, ensuring interoperability and availability for Higher and Adjacent Headquarters throughout all exercise phases.
Develop, design, and maintain databases that support C2 system operations for MSTP-led exercises, training events, and wargames.
Ensure C2 system compatibility with operating forces by implementing software updates, configuration changes, and version alignment across all MSTP-supported events.
Apply cybersecurity requirements by installing security patches, enforcing password and account management standards, and ensuring compliance with DoD and MSTP policies.
Coordinate and synchronize fires data across C2 systems to maintain an accurate, shared operational picture and enable timely horizontal and vertical fires integration.
Facilitate machine-to-machine targeting data exchange to support seamless integration with joint force C2 systems and future capability upgrades.
Integrate Joint aviation C2 systems within CAOC/JAOC environments to ensure full execution of air operations during MSTP events.
Participate fully in all required Joint Event Life Cycle/Exercise Life Cycle planning and coordination activities in accordance with MSTP SOPs and exercise planning guidance.
EDUCATION
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II: Baseline Certification ‐ DoD 8570.1 required (CCNA‐Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CE , SSCP) ); a minimum of one valid Computing Environment (CE)/Operating System (OS) Certificate (i.e. MS Windows Server 2012 R2 Cert, MS Windows 10 cert, a VMware 6.0 Cert); and at least 3 years in IA technology or a related area.
Must possess and maintain training and certifications sufficient to be granted privileged access to Marine Corps information technology (IT) and information systems (IS)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum eight years of operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, or combat service support units, related equipment and C2 methods and systems at the Higher Headquarters level.
Minimum of five years of operational military experience in Information Management/Knowledge Management (IM/KM) supporting General Officer–level staff, including demonstrated proficiency in employing C2 systems to develop and execute an Information Management Plan (IMP) and Annex U, and integrating IM into current operations.
Minimum three years of training and education experience in military doctrine, tactics, or planning.

Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.
Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in the entire suite of MS Office and able to quickly learn additional systems. Familiarity with SharePoint and C2PC is desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
Daily travel in local area during workday (including use of personal vehicle)
Be able to work an unstable schedule, to include holidays and weekends.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for up to three weeks at a time (or longer)
Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
This position also requires a completed Personnel Security Investigation that will qualify the incumbent to be eligible for access to at least the TS-SCI level, and the individual must be read-in for NATO level access.
