SharePoint Developer
The SharePoint Developer reports to the MSTP Project Manager and receives work direction derivatives from the Communications and Information Systems Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the lead for analyzing and developing solutions to satisfy MSTP objectives, with expertise across application/system analysis, infrastructure and solution architecture.
Develop Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 sites to provide mission-critical collaboration and information sharing to support geographically dispersed government teams, and maintain site collections, sites, master pages/templates, pages, Web parts, content types, lists, libraries, workflows, and navigation using Microsoft Designer and Infopath.
Install, maintain, administer, and troubleshoot DoD PKI Cryptographic Logon and PK-Enablement of MSTP SharePoint services.
Collaborate with military and contractor functional/technical leads to produce solution design documents and process flow charts, as well as develop intranet, content management, and document storage solutions.
Maintain the current Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS websites, and SQL Server 2012 R2 environment, including OS and directory services management, patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and virtualization support during daily operations and deployed events.
Manage SharePoint software, patches, service packs, backend components, and content databases; administer permissions, site structure, and core services via Central Admin.
Develop SQL components (procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes), manage SQL database architecture, and plan and execute upgrades (e.g., SQL 2016 R2).
Administer disaster recovery solutions for SharePoint and SQL using best practices and government tools (e.g., Symantec NetBackup) to ensure continuity of operations.
Assess and mitigate risks to SharePoint services, evaluating threats, vulnerabilities, and ensuring continuity during service disruptions.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent.
At a minimum, qualified Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) SharePoint Applications or appropriate legacy certification (i.e., MCTS SharePoint Application Developer, MCTS SharePoint Configuration).
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II: Baseline Certification ‐ IAW DoD 8140.01 required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); a minimum of one valid Computing Environment (CE)/Operating System (OS) Certificate (i.e. MS Windows Server 2012 R2 Cert, MS Windows 10 cert, a VMware 6.0 Cert); and at least 3 years in IA technology or a related area.
Must possess and maintain training and certifications sufficient to be granted privileged access to Marine Corps information technology (IT) and information systems (IS)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) SharePoint desired.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of experience working Information/Knowledge Management for a military organization at the regimental/brigade level or above desired.
A minimum of six years of experience in Microsoft SharePoint configuration, administration, and development. Demonstrated experience with Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and ASP.NET is required.
Experience employing Microsoft SharePoint servers within virtualized architectures is desired.
Experience managing SQL databases used for Microsoft SharePoint services and Active/Passive and Network Load Balancing Clustering in Microsoft products is desired.
Familiarity with other collaboration and Web portal systems such as Adobe Connect, Collaboration at Sea (CAS), and Public Key Encryption implementation on SharePoint is desired.

Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.
Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.
Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, prioritization, interpersonal skills, and able to instinctively adapt, plan, inform and influence.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
Daily travel in local area during work day (including use of personal vehicle)
Be able to work an unstable schedule, to include holidays and weekends.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for up to three weeks at a time (or longer).
Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
This position also requires a completed Personnel Security Investigation that will qualify the incumbent to be eligible for access to at least the TS-SCI level, and the individual must be read-in for NATO level access.
