Major/Essential Functions
- Produces printed material. Reviews work order to get information for items necessary for the completion of the work. Ensures that the paper, ink, and size match specifications. Ensure finished samples are produced on large jobs to ensure the final product is correct.
- Operates bindery equipment to ensure that the final product meets the specifications on the work order and is completed by the due date.
- Box and prepare items for delivery. Deliver or ship completed orders and proofs, and pick up materials or jobs as directed. Maintain paperwork related to the chain of custody.
Occasional Duties
- Clean, oil, and maintain equipment and machines.
- Place service calls on production copiers with vendors and follow up on
repairs. Order toner and other consumable supplies for the assigned copiers. Check inventory on paper and supplies, and report to your supervisor any items needed.
Required Qualifications
High school plus 4 years experience. Additional education may substitute on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in print shop environment preferred -- Understanding file formats, color profiles (CMYK vs. RGB), and setting up artwork with spot colors or bleeds.
- Familiarity with digital printers and finishing/bindery machinery (cutters, laminators).
- Prior experience with using inventory management, print management software (like Fiery Command Workstation).
