To thrive as a Regional Pro Sales Manager, you will lead a dynamic team within a defined geographic region to achieve incremental sales targets and improve market penetration. This pivotal role drives the growth of our business by developing and leading a highly engaged sales team. You will manage the assigned region's revenue, market share, staffing, expenses, and profitability, aligning with our corporate objectives through strategic partnerships with store management, outside sales team personnel, customers, and clients. 

Here's what you'll do: 

  • Implement the deployment, adoption, and application of Behr’s annual Strategic Deployment Plan (SDP) under the direction of corporate and regional leadership. 

  • Develop skills and abilities to uphold lean thinking and continuous improvement processes. 

  • Lead sales strategies, market penetration, and growth initiatives by building and maintaining relationships with key customers and direct sales representatives. 

  • Monitor, guide, and mentor the sales team to achieve business targets, improve selling skills, and build balanced customer relationships. 

  • Analyze sales against defined metrics, goals, and objectives; use established data methods to evaluate business health and supervise progress against improvement activities. 

  • Cultivate a collaborative environment with internal and external team members to drive consistent sales growth. 

  • Supply regional sales information to the forecasting process and make strategic recommendations. 

  • Assemble and evaluate channel-related market data and communicate findings with leadership. 

  • Abide by all company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and ethical work environment. 

  • Responsible for hiring, retention, and development of the sales team through on-boarding, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. 

  • Lead a team of 10 to 18 sales reps within the designated geographic region. 

What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • Shown experience in sales or sales management within the coatings industry. 

  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and compliance with the company motor vehicle policy. 

  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. 

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel as required. 

  • Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities 

  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control practices. 

  • A validated record of achievement in prior sales positions. 

  • Collaborative and trustworthy team builder with high standards of integrity and ethical behavior. 

  • Strong communication skills, attentive to assisting others. 

  • Outstanding problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. 

  • Proficiency in MSA Office Suites and/or IOS software applications. 

  • Proficient in using CRM systems for managing information and crafting reports to boost performance.
