Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payment operations for a Contract assignment in Westborough, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable handling vendor communication while keeping invoice activity accurate and on schedule. The position will play an important part in maintaining efficient accounts payable processes and assisting with additional finance-related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Process incoming invoices accurately and ensure charges are assigned to the appropriate accounts.
• Review payment documentation, verify details, and prepare items for timely disbursement.
• Coordinate with vendors to address questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide status updates on payments.
• Support scheduled check runs and help maintain organized records of completed transactions.
• Track outstanding items and follow up on approvals or missing information to keep workflows moving.
• Assist with special assignments within the accounting function as business needs arise.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role.
• Hands-on ability to code invoices with accuracy and consistency.
• Familiarity with invoice processing procedures and payment workflows.
• Experience supporting check runs and related payment activities.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Compensation

$15.84-$18.34 Hourly
