IT Project Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct complex IT projects through all phases, establishing timelines, priorities, and deliverables that align with client and business objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination for clients and internal teams, resolving issues promptly and maintaining productive working relationships.
• Facilitate project planning activities, including scope definition, resource coordination, risk identification, and ongoing status tracking.
• Lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments, keeping work on schedule while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Drive process optimization efforts by identifying inefficiencies, recommending practical improvements, and supporting organizational change initiatives.
• Prepare clear project documentation, meeting summaries, status reports, and follow-up actions to ensure visibility and accountability across stakeholders.
• Support customer education and training efforts to promote successful adoption of project deliverables and operational processes.
• Use project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint to monitor execution and communicate progress.
• Travel as needed to meet with clients, support project milestones, and strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of project management experience leading complex initiatives, preferably in client-facing environments; comparable project management education or an active PMP certification may be considered.• Background in healthcare, property and casualty, or pharmacy benefit management environments, with working knowledge of claims and payment processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage strategic planning, scope changes, conflict resolution, resource allocation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Strong relationship management skills with a track record of building trust and effectively handling client concerns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with strong organization, documentation accuracy, and consistent follow-through.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make sound decisions across multiple levels of an organization.
• Proficiency with Agile Scrum practices and project management tools, including Atlassian Jira and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, computer science, management information systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
Compensation
