Receptionist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for an automotive organization in Battle Creek, Michigan. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, managing a busy reception area, and keeping appointments organized. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for visitors and callers while helping maintain accurate administrative records and a smooth office flow. 100% onsite, M-F, 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome guests and customers upon arrival, complete check-in activities, and ensure they are directed to the appropriate staff or service area
• Coordinate appointment calendars by arranging, updating, and confirming schedules to support efficient daily operations
• Respond to inbound phone calls on a multi-line system, address routine questions, and transfer inquiries to the correct department when needed
• Process basic cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation related to payments and receipts
• Enter and update information in internal records and scheduling systems with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Provide clear assistance to customers by offering directions, answering general questions, and creating a positive first impression
• Support front office administrative tasks that help keep reception and customer service activities organized throughout the day
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role• Ability to manage appointment scheduling and customer check-in activities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling inbound calls, including use of a multi-line phone system
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable performing light cash handling and maintaining receipt records responsibly
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and courteous approach
• Ability to stay organized, multitask, and provide dependable customer support throughout the workday
Compensation
