Customer Experience Specialist
We are looking for a Member Service Representative to support members with day-to-day account needs while delivering attentive, detail-oriented service in Morris Plains, New Jersey. This contract opportunity with potential for a long-term role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, handling financial transactions accurately, and contributing to smooth branch operations. The person in this role will serve as a trusted point of contact for member questions, account support, and routine banking activity while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Provide responsive support to members by clarifying account details, explaining available services, and guiding them toward appropriate solutions.
• Handle everyday financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and money orders with a strong focus on precision.
• Manage cash and check activity in accordance with established balancing practices, internal controls, and security expectations.
• Open, update, and close member accounts while confirming that all required forms and supporting documentation are complete and accurate.
• Identify routine service issues, resolve them efficiently, and elevate more complex concerns to the appropriate team for follow-up.
• Maintain organized records related to transactions, account activity, and service requests to support accurate branch documentation.
• Assist with daily operational tasks, including cash drawer reconciliation and branch opening or closing duties when assigned.
• Follow branch policies, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements while helping promote a secure and compliant environment
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, banking, retail banking, cash handling, or a similar service-driven setting.• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related area is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with members and coworkers.
• Comfort using multiple browser windows, email, and other digital tools in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to manage transactions accurately, maintain confidentiality, and pay close attention to detail.
• Experience assisting customers with service questions, issue resolution, or account-related concerns.
• Ability to recognize customer needs, stay organized under pressure, and provide dependable support throughout the day.
Compensation
