Associate Attorney

Wilmington, DE 19801, US Full Time
Compensation: $235 to $440 Yearly

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a high-level corporate litigation practice in Wilmington, Delaware. This position offers meaningful responsibility on sophisticated business disputes and the chance to work closely with experienced attorneys on matters involving corporate governance, fiduciary obligations, shareholder conflicts, and transaction-related litigation. The role is well suited for a lawyer who thrives in a demanding environment and is eager to build deep experience before the Delaware Court of Chancery and other courts in the state.

Responsibilities:
• Advocate for clients in business and corporate disputes before the Delaware Court of Chancery as well as state and federal courts in Delaware.
• Prepare a wide range of litigation documents, including complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Perform detailed legal research and translate findings into strategic analyses that support case development.
• Oversee discovery activities from initial planning through document review, written responses, and deposition preparation.
• Contribute to the preparation for hearings, trials, and time-sensitive court proceedings.
• Serve as a point of contact with clients, opposing counsel, and court representatives to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Evaluate issues involving corporate governance, fiduciary responsibilities, shareholder rights, and deal-related disputes.
• Partner with senior attorneys to shape litigation strategy, manage deadlines, and advance matters effectively.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Admission to practice law in Delaware, or eligibility to obtain Delaware bar admission.
• At least 2 years of experience handling corporate or commercial litigation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive motions, briefs, and other substantive court filings.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to balance multiple active matters in a fast-paced practice setting.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to client service.
• Experience with depositions and familiarity with Delaware Court of Chancery practice is preferred.

Compensation

$235,000.00-$440,000.00 Yearly
