Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a high-volume billing and cash application environment for a service-based enterprise operation in Stamford, Connecticut. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can quickly step into a fast-paced workflow, manage consolidated customer invoicing, and maintain accuracy across large transaction volumes. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidence working independently, and hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite in an accounts receivable setting.

Responsibilities:
• Process and apply incoming payments accurately within Oracle NetSuite for a high-volume accounts receivable function.
• Reconcile consolidated remittances against invoices that may contain hundreds to thousands of individual line items for a single customer location.
• Manage cash application activity for enterprise service accounts, including large national and multi-site customers.
• Post payment uploads received through lockbox and other organized remittance channels while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Review billing and payment records to ensure receipts are matched correctly to customer accounts and open balances.
• Support daily accounts receivable operations across a weekly transaction volume of approximately 20,000 items.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and account variances to keep ledgers current.
• Operate with minimal supervision, establish effective working methods, and help bring structure to processes where formal procedures are limited.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounts receivable with a strong focus on cash applications and billing support.
• Hands-on proficiency with Oracle NetSuite and familiarity with accounting software systems.
• Ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment with substantial transaction throughput.
• Experience handling consolidated invoicing and applying payments across complex, line-item-heavy billings.
• Solid understanding of core accounting functions, including receivables reconciliation and payment posting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple customer accounts and remittance records.
• Self-directed work style with the ability to ramp up quickly and perform effectively with limited procedural documentation.

Compensation

$35.15-$40.70 Hourly
