Accounts Receivable Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a great team in San Antonio, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Manage full-cycle AR: invoicing, cash posting, reconciliations, and collections
- Monitor aging and follow up with hospitals, healthcare systems, and purchasing departments
- Resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and payment issues
- Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure compliance with procedures
Sales & Commission Support
- Partner with internal sales teams and 1099 reps to support hospital sales activity
- Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly commission reports
- Reconcile commissions against sales data, contracts, and payments
- Handle commission inquiries and maintain rep account details
Reporting & Close
- Assist with month-end close and audit prep
- Generate AR reporting, collections summaries, and commission analytics
- Support cash flow improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure billing aligns with contract pricing and PO requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and follow financial and regulatory guidelines
- Apply accounting policies and uphold internal controls
- Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (required)
- 3+ years of AR experience (healthcare, medical device, pharma, or hospital sales preferred)
- Experience with hospital billing, GPOs, or healthcare purchasing systems
Technical Skills
- ERP/accounting systems experience
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong understanding of AR, cash management, and basic AP processes
Additional Experience Preferred
- Commission tracking and sales compensation structures
- Supporting direct U.S. hospital sales accounts
- Working with 1099 sales representatives

Compensation
