Staff Accountant
Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with public accounting experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The Staff Accountant will support financial reporting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and general accounting functions for a diverse client base while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deliverables.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
· Assist with daily accounting functions
· Reconcile and monitor collection accounts
· Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP)
· Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
· Monitor the record keeping system
· Prepare daily credit card transactions
· Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation needed
Qualifications:
The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 3-5 years of public accounting experience
· CPA strongly preferred
· Financial Reporting & Tax Preparation exposure
· UltraTax preferred
· Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word
· Excellent communication skills

Compensation
