Staff Accountant
Our client in the education industry is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and subledgers
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounting activities
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Analyze account activity and help resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budget tracking, audit preparation, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience in the education industry preferred
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Compensation
