Sr. Financial Analyst
A growing, innovative organization in the life sciences sector is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support executive leadership with high‑impact financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities
- Support forecasting, annual budgeting, long‑range planning, and monthly close activities across multiple functional groups.
- Develop and maintain ongoing reporting dashboards and KPIs (financial and operational).
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports; analyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner with business groups to support planning, prioritization, and performance management.
- Contribute to month‑end close processes, including production reporting, cost analysis, variance reviews, and journal entries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve financial issues within tight deadlines.
- Maintain and update financial planning templates within Oracle/Hyperion environments.
- Conduct competitive and industry analysis, including benchmarking of financial and operational metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 2–4 years of Corporate Finance or FP& A experience.
- Experience with Oracle EPBCS and/or Hyperion strongly preferred.
- Proven financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting experience.
- Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow drivers.
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear and actionable insights for leadership.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong work ethic and a positive, proactive mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, macros) and strong PowerPoint abilities.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience with Smart View or similar analysis tools.
- Exposure to SQL or data querying languages.
- Background in biotechnology, life sciences, or laboratory services.
- Experience working in private equity–backed organizations or supporting M& A‑related analysis.
- Prior involvement in automating reporting processes or building analytical dashboards.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement models or payer/provider dynamics.
