Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support a manufacturing operation. This Long-term Contract position is suited for someone who is detail oriented and can manage incoming payments, maintain accurate receivable records, and help keep account balances current. The ideal candidate will contribute to day-to-day cash activity, follow up on outstanding balances, and support reliable financial operations across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments accurately and apply receipts to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.

• Post daily cash transactions and reconcile payment activity to maintain complete and accurate records.

• Monitor open receivables and contact customers regarding past-due invoices to support on-time collections.

• Investigate payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash to resolve account issues efficiently.

• Maintain account documentation and update records to reflect collection activity, payment status, and adjustments.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing concerns and ensure customer accounts are properly maintained.

• Prepare routine reports on receivable balances, cash activity, and collection progress for financial review.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting accounts receivable processes in a detail-oriented business environment.
• Working knowledge of cash application, cash posting, and customer payment reconciliation.
• Ability to manage collection follow-up with professionalism and clear communication.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for transaction tracking and reporting.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
