Tax Manager - Public
Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation and review of corporate tax filings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee annual income tax provision work and analyze supporting schedules to deliver complete and reliable reporting.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies, entity structure considerations, and the implications of new business formations.
• Manage sales and use tax activities, including filings, research, and issue resolution using relevant tax software tools.
• Supervise engagement workflows, delegate assignments effectively, and review work products to maintain quality standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client tax matters, responding to questions and presenting practical recommendations.
• Conduct technical research on complex tax issues and translate findings into clear guidance for clients and internal teams.
• Support process improvements within the tax function, including updates to software usage and engagement procedures when needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of public accounting tax experience, including responsibility for managing complex engagements.• Demonstrated background in corporate tax return preparation and review within a CPA firm environment.
• Hands-on experience with annual income tax provision processes and related tax reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx and CCH Sales Tax or comparable tax compliance platforms.
• Knowledge of entity formation considerations and the related tax impact for business clients.
• Strong leadership, project management, and client communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
Compensation
$90,000.00-$140,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
