The Power Platform Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of business applications, workflows, and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, gather requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.This role will develop and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reporting solutions while ensuring adherence to security, performance, and governance standards. The role also supports integration efforts between Microsoft platforms, enterprise applications, databases, and cloud-based services.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Apps solutions, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
- Develop and support Power Automate workflows to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, SAP, and other business applications as required.
- Develop and maintain data connections, custom connectors, and integrations utilizing SQL, Azure services, and other cloud technologies.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and user experience in accordance with Microsoft best practices.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, user guides, and deployment plans.
- Support testing, change management, production deployments, and ongoing system enhancements.
- Monitor platform updates and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and maximize business value from the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end users and cross-functional project teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4–6 years of application development experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI).
- Strong experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, workflows, and reporting solutions.
- Experience working with SQL, relational databases, data integration, APIs, custom connectors, and Microsoft services such as SharePoint and Dynamics 365.
- Knowledge of application architecture, performance optimization, security best practices, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Experience gathering business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and supporting solution design, documentation, testing, and deployment activities.
- Familiarity with Azure services, cloud-based technologies, and scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript for advanced customizations.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and application usability best practices.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications preferred (e.g., Power Platform Developer Associate).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
