Responsibilities

Use and operate hand and power woodworking tools.  Perform carpentry work to construct, alter and repair a variety of plant woodwork.  Erect scaffolding and operate lift truck when required.  Perform plumbing and electrical maintenance and minor repairs.  Perform interior and exterior painting.  Cut and prepare angles, channels and other material for welding.  Assemble metal and wood furnishings and make minor masonry repairs.

 

Report all unusual conditions to supervisor or Maintenance Mechanic “A”.

 

All of the above is to be performed under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

 

The above description covers the most significant duties performed, but does not exclude other work assignments not mentioned which may be inherent in the job.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent; Technical College Degree preferred but not required.

Effectively use and comprehend basic computer skills including basic computer hardware and software to perform work functions.
