Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) – Lead & Grow with RS&H

We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) who is ready to step into a true leadership role—leading teams, influencing direction, and helping grow a high-performing electrical practice for our buildings engineering team in Jacksonville.
This is more than a Senior engineer position. It’s an opportunity to mentor, build, and lead, while still staying connected to meaningful, high-impact work.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll operate at both a technical and leadership level, with a strong emphasis on team development and client engagement:
- Lead and manage an electrical engineering group, supporting team growth and performance
- Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical oversight across complex projects
- Drive project delivery as a Project Engineer and/or Project Manager across aviation, federal, healthcare, and commercial sectors
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers, helping shape the next generation of talent
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives, including hiring and team expansion
- Support projects from concept through construction, including coordination and quality control
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited program)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering (building systems preferred)
- Proven experience leading projects, teams, or both
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable codes
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior staff
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
- Ability to operate both strategically and technically
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Revit
- Background in aviation, healthcare, federal, or large-scale commercial projects
- Interest in business development or practice growth
