Job Summary:
A key role in supporting American Rheinmetall's operational growth and initiatives by researching, evaluating, and recommending capital equipment solutions. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to understand business requirements, compare equipment capabilities, and develop clear recommendations that balance cost, performance, and implementation feasibility. Gathers specifications, analyzes vendor proposals, conducts market research, and prepares summary reports and presentations to support informed decision‑making. This position ensures the organization selects the best‑fit solutions by combining technical understanding, strong analytical skills, and effective cross‑functional communication.
Work Location: This position is flexible on being based out of AR's Plymouth, Lansing, Lapeer or Auburn Hills, MI facility.
Essential Functions:
- Secure an understanding of business goals and direction to help work towards potential solutions.
- Research and compare options, using technical, operational and financial criteria, including obtaining quotes for both new and replacement equipment.
- Assist with facility quotes and gathering support for the purchasing of new equipment.
- Act as Project Lead for equipment installations.
- Assist with Program tooling reviews, both internal and OVS.
- Manage program tooling, both internal and OVS.
- Streamline operations within plants when possible.
- Prepare comparison reports and recommendations for leadership.
- Maintain documentation and ensure recommendations align with safety, quality and operational standards.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience evaluating capital equipment options, assessing capabilities and proposing solutions.
- Strong cross-functional and external communication skills.
- Project coordination and project management experience.
- Ability to break down a request into steps, timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to evaluate proposals and escalate when needed.
- Understanding of procurement or sourcing processes.
