Job Summary
Strategic Management Solutions LLC is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across key functional areas, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate has experience supporting federal contracts and understands the unique compliance requirements of government contracting. This role will also support the recruiting team with general recruiting functions, candidate screening, and compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist with onboarding and new‑hire setup, including E‑Verify, background checks, and contract-specific onboarding requirements
  • Accurately maintains all personnel data across all systems
  • Support employee relations inquiries by routing issues appropriately
  • Maintains confidentiality of all employee information and other relevant Human Resources issues
  • Handles employee relation issues in a discreet, confidential, timely, and helpful manner.
  • Track and document all recruiting activities to ensure audit readiness and EEO/OFCCP compliance
  • Provides support to the HR team in all areas as needed
  • Update systems and employee records, including drafting job descriptions, HR letters, and related documents.
  • Consistently interpret and implement all company policies and procedures
  • Support preparations for audits, compliance reviews, and related reporting
  • Manage candidate communication to ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience
  • Provides guidance to managers and employees as needed on company policies and procedures
  • Provides support to the HR Manager and the HR Director as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (all programs) and Adobe Pro
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and handle competing priorities
  • Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with modern recruiting tools and ATS/HRIS systems
  • Understanding of OFCCP, EEO, FLSA, and federal contracting compliance
  • Excellent communication, time management, and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or high school diploma and two years of equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' HR experience
  • HR or Recruiting certification preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
