The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Medicine, Renal-Electrolyte Division is recruiting for a full-time Post Doctoral Associate who will study the role of With-No-Lysine (WNK) kinases signaling in cellular systems in the kidney. The Post Doctoral Associate will be appointed to Dr. Arohan Subramanya's lab.

The successful candidate will hold a recently awarded PhD, MD, or equivalent in a biological sciences field. They will be expected to perform research independently along with regular guidance from the primary mentor, Dr. Arohan Subramanya. Duties will include designing protocols and experiments; performing a variety of laboratory techniques; maintaining appropriate documentation; writing and publishing manuscripts; and developing a written Post Doctoral Career Development Plan with the mentor's guidance. Authorship will be discussed prior to manuscript and publication writing begins.

The candidate will be required to attend regular team and mentorship meetings with the primary mentor, Dr. Arohan Subramanya, and may even include the oversight and training of staff and students within the lab.
