About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer.

SDS (Software Distribution services) is responsible for application and software updates deployment to the bank. This candidate would handle critical application/software update deployments to the entire bank with due diligence and handle additional responsibilities such as PowerShell scripting, SQL reporting, SSRS reporting, team mentoring and leadership initiatives. This role has been established as part of the Safety and Soundness initiative. This person is expected to be the face of SDS I&P with sound Knowledge on Intune and other software distribution technology.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area

  • Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks

  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution

  • Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in PowerShell
  • Automation and AI experience.
  • At least Level 2 Certification in Intune
  • Strong Intune and MEMCM knowledge with proficiency in application and policy creation/deployment/troubleshooting, software updates deployment/troubleshooting, task sequence creation/deployment/troubleshooting.
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience in PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience in Microsoft Graph and use of Graph API
  • Exceptional working experience and Knowledge in Intune and W365 management.
  • Experience in handling high priority escalations and addressing leadership in critical situations.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory with hands on experience on user groups creation/modification.
  • Ability to write/modify SQL queries. Creation/modification of SSRS reports.
  • Proven Experience and ability to identify and convert possible processes and opportunities into Automations.
  • Understand the process workflow in tools and services like Remedy and other Ticketing Tools.
  • Sound knowledge in Windows 11 Operating System and all above knowledge to effectively communicate, understand and transform requirements, collaborating with technical resources, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to on board new activities, stream line, document and train team members. Mentor junior team members, conduct knowledge transfer sessions to upscale the skills in the team.
  • Adapt / adhere to the process and look for improvements towards continuous improvements and ideas.
  • Strong communication skills required as coordination with project managers, line of business contacts are key responsibilities of this role
  • Create Documents and Excel Pivot tables whenever needed. PowerPoint skills would be an added advantage.
