Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a business based in California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can confidently manage the full bookkeeping cycle, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables and receivables running smoothly. The role requires strong QuickBooks experience, sound reconciliation skills, and a reliable approach to handling core accounting activities.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the complete bookkeeping process, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor records current.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks by issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile bank and other financial accounts on a regular basis to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain and update accounting records within QuickBooks to support timely and accurate reporting.
• Assist with month-end financial close activities by reviewing entries and confirming account balances are properly reflected.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience performing full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-focused setting.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping functions.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks effectively.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$24.70-$28.60 Hourly
