Staff Accountant

Controller – Healthcare Services | Lead Finance. Drive Strategy. Improve Performance.

We are partnering with a growing healthcare organization to identify a strategic and hands-on Controller who will lead the accounting and finance function while serving as a key business partner to executive leadership. This role offers the opportunity to influence organizational growth, improve financial operations, and help guide critical business decisions.

The Controller will oversee a team of accounting professionals and be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, internal controls, and strategic financial analysis. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of leadership, analytical expertise, and operational insight, along with experience leading or supporting ERP and financial system implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of skilled accounting and finance professionals.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance initiatives.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Lead or support ERP, financial system, and technology implementation projects.
• Provide actionable financial insights to support operational and organizational decision-making.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Finance leadership experience.
• Experience within healthcare, medical services, physician practice management, or a related industry preferred.
• Proven ability to manage teams and build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience with ERP implementations, system conversions, or finance transformation initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency with financial reporting systems and Microsoft Excel.
