Corporate Attorney

A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking a talented attorney to join its growing practice. The firm serves a diverse client base, including public and private companies, entrepreneurs, governmental entities, and nonprofit organizations. With a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, the firm provides strategic legal counsel across a broad range of business and regulatory matters. The firm is seeking an attorney with experience or a strong interest in the cannabis industry to support clients on a variety of corporate and transactional matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise cannabis industry clients on a broad range of business and transactional matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and commercial agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other corporate governance documents.
• Conduct due diligence and assess legal and regulatory risks associated with business transactions.
• Monitor developments in federal, state, and local cannabis laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably involving cannabis law, corporate law, commercial transactions, and contract matters.
• Experience advising businesses on transactional and corporate governance issues.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Preferred: Experience serving as lead attorney on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and other complex corporate matters. Experience representing cannabis-related businesses is highly desirable.

Compensation

$150,000.00-$215,000.00 Yearly
