Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position with , on-site hours, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who can quickly learn new processes and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced accounting environment. The role focuses on supporting day-to-day payables operations, reconciling financial records, and helping keep vendor payments organized and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner while verifying supporting documentation and coding details.
• Prepare and issue payments according to established schedules, ensuring records are complete and up to date.
• Reconcile bank activity and accounts payable transactions to identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting.
• Communicate with vendors and internal team members to resolve invoice questions, payment issues, and account differences.
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation for audits, reviews, and internal reference.
• Assist with month-end accounting tasks related to payables, including matching transactions and confirming balances.
• Learn internal accounting procedures quickly and apply them consistently to daily transaction processing.
• Support the accounting team with additional clerical and financial duties as needed to maintain workflow continuity.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in accounts payable and bank reconciliation work.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage financial data accurately.
• Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with standard accounting and office software.
• Experience with Sage 100 is preferred.
• Ability to work on site in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for handling vendor and internal inquiries.
