Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Post Falls, Idaho on a Contract basis. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day receivables operations by applying customer payments, preparing accurate invoices, and helping maintain timely account resolution. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, comfort working with billing and cash activity, and the ability to communicate effectively regarding outstanding balances.

Responsibilities:
• Record and apply incoming customer payments accurately to the appropriate accounts and invoices
• Prepare and issue customer invoices while ensuring billing details are complete and correct
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue commercial accounts to support collections efforts
• Review daily cash activity and reconcile payment information to maintain accurate financial records
• Investigate payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash to resolve account issues promptly
• Work with internal teams and customers to address billing questions and support smooth receivables processing

Qualifications:

• Experience working in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar finance support role
• Knowledge of cash application processes and daily cash activity handling
• Background in commercial collections and follow-up on outstanding customer balances
• Ability to process invoices with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer and internal interactions

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
