Staff Accountant

A growing organization in the property management sector is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. The Staff Accountant will support a portfolio of entities and play an integral part in financial reporting, general ledger management, and process improvement initiatives. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ideal Staff Accountant will 2-4 years of property management experience, a strong team player, and contribute with process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Analyze financial results and assist with variance analysis
• Support audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve financial issues and improve reporting accuracy
• Assist in the development and enhancement of accounting processes and workflows

The Staff Accountant will join a growing team with strong leadership. Candidates with strong technology skills to contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives is highly preferred. This role is on-site, 5 days a week.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
• Experience in property management, real estate, or multi-entity environments
• Exposure to process improvement or automation tools (e.g., advanced Excel, data tools, or scripting)
