Sr. Accountant
We are partnering with a rapidly growing organization in the Capital Region to identify a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a highly visible role with direct access to executive leadership and the opportunity to help build and scale the finance function during a period of significant growth.

Responsibilities:
• Manage revenue-related journal entries and reviews to ensure accounting treatment aligns with applicable standards and company policies.
• Complete bank and cash reconciliations each month, research variances, and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee accounts receivable reconciliations, evaluate aging activity, and contribute to collection analysis and reporting.
• Maintain schedules for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
• Record and reconcile operational transactions, including credit card activity, payables, and other general ledger items.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting detail and explain notable fluctuations from prior periods or expectations.
• Support and enhance month-end and year-end closing workflows to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, management reporting, audit support, tax-related documentation, and special projects such as process improvements, business analysis, and acquisition-related accounting work.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• 3–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger activity, and month-end close.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with practical experience using QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with AI and large language model tools to improve efficiency and support day-to-day workflows.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with careful attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to non-financial partners while managing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation
