1+ Year Litigation Associate Attorney
We are looking for a motivated junior litigation attorney (entry level) to join our law firm client's team in Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity is well suited for an early-career associate who is licensed in Arizona and eager to build a strong foundation in dispute resolution matters. The role offers hands-on legal work in a collaborative office environment, with some remote flexibility available over time. Candidates with an interest in expanding their practice into workers’ compensation will have the chance to develop that area of expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned litigation matters from initial case review through resolution under attorney supervision as needed.
• Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other case-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and apply findings to support case strategy, written advocacy, and client recommendations.
• Participate in court appearances, depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties to move matters forward effectively.
• Organize case files, track deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation to support timely case management.
• Assist with evaluating claims, preparing case assessments, and developing practical litigation strategies.
• Build knowledge in workers’ compensation matters and contribute to related case work as experience grows.
Qualifications:
• Active license to practice law in Arizona.
• Some clerkship or intern/extern experience with litigation in a law firm or similar legal setting.
• Background in civil litigation and familiarity with related procedural rules.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Interest in learning and handling workers’ compensation matters.
• Willingness to work primarily in-office in Phoenix, Arizona, with some remote flexibility available over time.
Compensation
