1+ Year Civil Litigation Attorney Hybrid

We are looking for a junior Arizona-licensed attorney to join a regional mid-sized law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, handling insurance defense and broader civil litigation matters. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely one to two days per week while remaining closely connected to a collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage civil litigation files from initial case assessment through resolution, maintaining momentum across deadlines, strategy, and client communication.

• Prepare persuasive motions, legal memoranda, and other written advocacy materials to support case objectives in insurance defense and related disputes.

• Conduct written discovery and coordinate responses, document review, and factual development to build effective case positions.

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings as matters progress.

• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to evaluate exposure, develop litigation strategy, and recommend practical next steps.

• Review case facts, applicable law, and procedural issues to produce clear, well-supported legal analysis.

• Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and court personnel to keep matters moving efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in Arizona in good standing.
• At least 1 year of experience handling civil litigation matters in a law firm or similar legal environment.
• Working knowledge of insurance defense litigation and general civil procedure.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
• Experience managing discovery, including written requests, responses, and document analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present legal issues clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting while managing multiple matters and competing deadlines.

Compensation

$100,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
