Technical Product Owner
Overview
Our client is seeking a Technical Product Owner to support their consumer digital banking platform. This role sits within a mature product environment and will partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive roadmap execution and solution delivery.
This is a highly technical-facing Product Owner role with a strong focus on solutioning, API/integration definition, and supporting agile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive product roadmap development for digital/online banking initiatives
- Act as a bridge between business and engineering—translate requirements into actionable solutions
- Write and manage Jira user stories, ensuring clarity for development teams
- Provide high-level solution design (without requiring developers to act as solution architects)
- Support agile ceremonies and function as a Scrum-aligned Product Owner
- Define and document API integrations and technical requirements
- Create and maintain functional and technical documentation
- Help remove ambiguity and reduce solutioning burden from development teams
- Partner with stakeholders across retail banking, digital products, and customer experience
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or Scrum Product Owner in an Agile environment
- Strong background working with engineering teams on digital products
- Experience with API-driven architectures and integrations
- Ability to contribute to solution design at a high level
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile delivery processes
- Strong documentation and requirement-writing skills
Preferred Experience
- Retail banking / financial services experience (strongly preferred)
- Exposure to consumer digital banking platforms
- Experience with tools/platforms such as:
- Candescent (Intelligent Banking Platform)
- Terafina (NCR Voyix) – digital account opening and onboarding

*Please note: This is an onsite position in Columbus, GA. Candidates in Atlanta will be considered as the client has an office in ATL, however there's a very strong preference for Columbus. Please don't apply to this posting if you're not willing to work onsite in either of those locations.
Compensation
