The Haney Lab, focused on the molecular biology of plant-microbiome and host-pathogen interactions, is seeking a lab manager. This individual will support administrative and technical aspects of day-to-day lab operations. This includes ordering supplies, record keeping, maintaining lab space and equipment, sending shipments, etc. This individual will also provide technical support for the lab including growing and genotyping plant and bacterial strains, making media and reagents, overseeing glassware washing and sterility as well as other lab chores, and training and supervising undergraduate students who assist with lab chores, media making, and routine lab assays.
Job Summary
Manages day-to-day laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Works with, adapts, and installs scientific equipment in research laboratories. Collaborates on routine projects and procedures. Manages inventory and equipment and performs budget functions.

Physical Effort
Must be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for an extended period of time. Must be able to ambulate across campus as needed. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Hiring Range: $44,310.96 to $59,082.00 annually
