ABOUT THE ROLE

As Attorney Recruiting Coordinator, you'll play a hands-on role in every stage of the attorney hiring lifecycle from the excitement of summer associate season to the precision of on-campus recruiting and the strategy behind lateral growth. This is a role for someone who thrives on juggling competing priorities, building relationships across all levels of the organization, and taking ownership of complex, high-stakes processes.

Summer Associate Program

  • Supports all aspects of the Summer Associate Program orientation and training, assignment quality, social events, and performance reviews under the direction of the Attorney Recruiting Manager and firm leadership.
  • Contributes to program planning by coordinating meetings, developing agendas, creating communication plans, and drafting communications to the office and local hiring committee.
  • Partners with the Office Hiring Partner and Practice Group Recruiting Partners to select and support associate summer liaisons, providing training, timely information, and planning resources.
  • Facilitates the summer associate offer process in close coordination with recruiting partners and the Hiring Committee; owns the administrative execution of all offer-related activities.
  • Leads tactical planning and execution of law student outreach, Summer Associate Program events, and offeree events, with attendance at all planned functions.

1L & 2L Recruiting Programs

  • Coordinates the 1L Wetmore, TSPP, and 2L Fall On-Campus Interviewing programs, including resume review, callback scheduling, feedback collection, offer follow-up, and funnel tracking.
  • Supports the Fall OCI program for designated schools by distributing resumes, drafting interviewer slates, preparing interview packets, organizing callback meetings, and maintaining all related records.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with recruiting partners, associates, and key stakeholders to drive attorney participation in OCI; keeps all parties informed throughout the process.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating receptions and on-campus events as part of the fall recruiting season.
  • Prepares offer letters and maintains accurate records of interviews, offers, rejections, and acceptances; represents the firm at law schools as requested.

Lateral Recruiting and Hiring

  • Supports the Attorney Recruiting Manager in building talent pipelines and strategic recruitment plans for high-demand practice groups.
  • Assists with position approvals and postings, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating with practice groups, obtaining approvals, and engaging search firms.
  • Manages candidate workflows as needed screening resumes, checking references, scheduling interviews, preparing marketing materials, tracking evaluations, and maintaining applicant files.
  • Prepares offer letters for lateral associates and provides candidate follow-up; serves as backup support for related Taleo documentation and new hire notifications.
  • Assists with lateral hire and fall associate onboarding, including reviewing and updating orientation materials and supporting arrival logistics.

Data, Technology & Reporting

  • Owns data integrity across all applicant records in the firm's applicant tracking system.
  • Tracks key recruiting metrics, compiles new hire statistics, generates reports on request, and monitors recruiting expenses.
  • Supports budget development and tracking for the Summer Associate Program, OCI season, and general recruiting activities; maintains appropriate cost controls.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree plus 2-4 years of recruiting experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong technology skills in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Human Resource and ATS systems and relational databases preferred.
  • Previous mid-large size law firm or professional services firm experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside the firm.
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, process, and follow-through skills. Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently. Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ability to anticipate issues, assess information, and provide responsive solutions.
  • High client service ethic and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal client constituencies.
  • Ability to work under pressure amidst critical deadlines. .
  • Ability to keep confidential any information, observations or viewpoints regarding Firm business matters.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

Washington, D.C. salary range: $60k to $84k
