Job Summary

Aurex is seeking a Production Supervisor / Working Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations while actively participating in electronic assembly activities. This hands-on leadership position combines technical assembly expertise with production oversight, team development, and cross-functional coordination to support the delivery of high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will lead a small team of electronic assemblers, drive production efficiency, ensure adherence to quality standards, and collaborate closely with Procurement, Shipping, and Engineering to meet production objectives and customer delivery requirements. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys leading from the front and contributing directly to production success.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic assembly manufacturing, including supervisory, lead, or team leadership responsibilities
  • Strong hands-on experience with soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly, and electro-mechanical assembly operations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience directing, mentoring, or coordinating small production teams
  • Working knowledge of quality control processes, IPC standards, and manufacturing best practices
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage multiple production demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or electronics manufacturing environments
  • Experience coordinating with procurement, inventory control, warehouse, and shipping functions
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes
  • Experience implementing process improvements, lean manufacturing principles, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • IPC certification or equivalent industry training

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Production Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of electronic assemblers in daily production activities
  • Serve as a working supervisor by actively participating in assembly operations alongside team members
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily production schedules to meet customer and program delivery requirements
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Train employees on assembly processes, workmanship standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements

Hands-On Electronic Assembly

  • Perform precision soldering and assembly of electronic components and assemblies
  • Execute mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and bills of materials
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and support corrective actions and process improvements
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and conformance
  • Maintain production equipment, tools, and workstations to support efficient operations

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Procurement to monitor material availability, identify shortages, and support production planning activities
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods
  • Partner with Engineering to resolve production challenges and implement design or process improvements
  • Maintain accurate production records and support inventory management activities
  • Communicate production status, priorities, risks, and challenges to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement

How You Will Be Rewarded
The salary range for this role is $65,000 – 90,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive total rewards approach to compensation, providing incentives and benefits that extend beyond base salary.
